Secretariat

WILDAF-AO has a Secretariat working under the direction of a Board. The Board recruits a Coordinator who will lead the Secretariat. The Board has the authority to terminate the Coordinator’s mandate in accordance with the provisions of the internal regulations and not otherwise.

The Coordinator works diligently to achieve the objectives of WILDAF-AO and, in particular, keeps the members of the Board of Directors and the members in general informed of the network’s activities. The Coordinator is a full member of the Board; she participates in all meetings but does not have voting rights.

National Offices/Focal Points

When necessary, members of a country may establish a national office or focal point with the approval of the Council. The national office thus established is financed by funds raised by members of that country with the support of the Secretariat. It reports to the WILDAF-AO members of its country on all matters relating to programs and other matters concerning the national office.

WILDAF – AO is a broad pan-African network of women's rights non-governmental organizations and individuals established in 1990 with headquarters in Lomé, Togo.
